Dear WSS Members:

A virtual conference of The Wisconsin Surgical Society, A Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 7:30 am to 6 pm. I would like to thank Drs. Elise Lawson, Brandon Grover, Tim Ridolfi and Jessica Wernberg for their time and effort in planning this event.

The morning sessions will highlight research from across the state through presentations by surgeons, students, residents, advance practice practitioners, nurses, and researchers. In the afternoon. I will give an update on the WSS followed by a presentation by Dr. J. Wayne Meredith, MD, FACS, MCCM, Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC, who has agreed to represent the College at this virtual meeting. Dr. Meredith will begin serving as the President of the American College of Surgeons in October. His presentation will be followed by an update from the Surgical Collaborative of Wisconsin. Finally, the afternoon session will also feature a multidisciplinary panel discussing elements of enhanced recovery which we hope will be interesting and informative for all.

I look forward to seeing you virtually in November!
